I was born in South Africa in 1959. I completed my Honours-degree in Education at The University of Stellenbosch in 1990, during which time I also successfully completed a course in mediation presented by Professor Ron Craybill of America. 

This manual is the culmination of 24 years of educational, 26 years of social welfare experience outside the educational arena, as well as many years of personal research in the field of remediating social misconduct. 

In addition to this manual, also find the following three books written by me. The contents of all three are based on the moral values referred to in this manual.
